Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Muster collects when you use the Muster website and app, and what we deliberately do not.

Muster is desktop software that runs on your machine. Your source code, databases, database contents, SSH keys, credentials, terminal sessions, and the work your AI agents do stay on your machine and your own servers — they are never sent to, proxied by, or stored on our servers.

What we collect

Account: your email address, to create your account and give you access to your license (via our auth provider, WorkOS).
Purchase: handled by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and your email; we do not receive or store your card details.
License records: your license key(s), tier, purchase/expiry timestamps, and — when you activate — a per-device identifier (a hashed hardware id, not your raw machine identifiers) and activation timestamps, to enforce the per-device license.
Basic operational logs: standard request metadata from our host (Cloudflare) used to run and secure the service.

Why we use it

To deliver and support your license, process your purchase, email you your license key, and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

Stripe — payment processing.
WorkOS — account sign-in (email/password, magic link, and optional Google/GitHub sign-in).
Resend — sending your license-key email.
Cloudflare — website hosting and our database.

Cookies

We use a single, essential, encrypted session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Retention

We keep your account and license records for as long as your account exists and as needed to support your perpetual license and meet legal/accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise them, email sales@musterup.dev.

Security

License keys are cryptographically signed; secrets and signing keys are held server-side and never shipped in the app. We aim to follow reasonable, industry- standard measures to protect your data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version.
